John Abraham shared his experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Pathan’ in an interview and revealed Aditya Chopra’s strict nature. He also talked about his upcoming film ‘Veda’.

John Abraham and Shah Rukh Khan worked together in ‘Pathan’, which turned out to be a blockbuster last year. In a new interview with Ranveer Allahabadia, John discussed his experience of working in the Yash Raj Films production and his equation with Shah Rukh as co-stars. He also revealed that Aditya Chopra is a very ‘strict’ person.
During the interview, John told that Aditya Chopra is very strict and shows his films only to Shah Rukh Khan. He said, “Aditya Chopra is very strict. He doesn’t show his films to anyone except Shah Rukh Khan! So, whatever information I got, it came from Shah Rukh only. Before the film, I would call him and ask, ‘How is it?’ and he would tell me. He is very sweet. Our energy was great.”
John said that Shah Rukh was like a mentor to him at the beginning of his career and working with him in ‘Pathan’ was a collaboration full of respect and love.
He said, “When my career started, Shah Rukh was my judge and now during Pathan, I was working with him. There was a lot of respect and love between us. He is an extremely smart, intelligent person but also very caring and cute. We really got along with each other!”
Produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathan’ featured John playing the role of Jim and Shah Rukh Khan playing the role of Pathan.
In the same interview, John praised Aditya Chopra and revealed how he advised him to do Dhoom (2004), saying that he was the only person who could ‘make even bad look good.’ John is confident that any project with Aditya will go well.
On the professional front, John will be next seen in ‘Veda’ directed by Nikkhil Advani. The film also stars Sharvari and Abhishek Banerjee. It will release in theatres on August 15.
