Austin Butler will be seen in The Bikeriders alongside other popular stars Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy. However, lead stars Comer and Butler also have two upcoming and interesting projects. Austin Butler is speculated to be a part of Heat 2, while Jodie Comer has been cast in 28 Days Later sequel 28 Years Later.
Jodie Comer opens up about the pressure of working in legacy films
Speaking to Cinema Blend 28 years later, Comer said, “Oh, my god. I mean, I think you can’t think too much about the legacy of things, because when something is so beloved, the pressure becomes a lot more.”
Comer expressed her joy about being directed by Danny Boyle and called him an incredibly innovative and confident filmmaker. She said, “Oh, I’ll go on set, and to have someone like that directing and leading, that’s really exciting.” 28 Years Later also stars Cillian Murphy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Ralph Fiennes.
The highly anticipated sequel is set to release on June 20, 2025, but there are still a number of casting announcements to come. Jodie Comer is now perfecting her Geordie accent in preparation for official filming of 28 Years Later.
Butler on rumours about Heat 2
Butler commented on Heat 2 speculation, revealing that he had been cast to play Chris Shiherlis, the younger version of Val Kilmer’s character.
Butler responded to the rumours, saying, “I feel incredibly lucky in every way at the moment. I feel like I have to pinch myself every day because I’m waiting to wake up from this dream.” Butler said that he is having a very lucky time at the moment, working with people he has always dreamed of working with.
