Reliance Jio has recently announced significant changes to its prepaid and postpaid plans, which will be effective from July 3, 2024. The telecom giant has increased prices by about 12 percent in line with its plans to increase revenue from 5G services and increase average revenue per user (ARPU). While the price hike had been anticipated for some time, one key feature of this revenue plan came as a surprise to many users: Jio will no longer offer unlimited 5G data with some prepaid plans.

From July 3, Reliance Jio will only offer unlimited 5G data on prepaid plans that offer 2GB or more data per day. This means that plans with 1.5GB or less data per day will not get 5G internet data facility. Here is the list of Jio prepaid plans that will offer 5G internet data:

Jio’s 28 day plan with 5G data

Rs 349 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 299, this plan is now priced at Rs 349 and offers 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 399 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 349, it is now priced at Rs 399 and includes 2.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 449 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 399, it is now priced at Rs 449 and offers 3GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Jio’s 56 day plan with 5G data

Rs 629 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 533, this plan is now priced at Rs 629 and offers 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Jio’s 84 day plan with 5G benefits

Rs 859 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 719, it is now priced at Rs 859 and offers 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 1199 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 999, this plan is now priced at Rs 1199 and offers 3GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 3599 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 2999, this plan is now priced at Rs 3599 and offers 2.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits for 365 days.

Rs 189 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 155, this plan is now priced at Rs 189 and includes unlimited voice calls, 2GB data and SMS benefits.

Rs 249 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 209, this plan is now priced at Rs 249 and offers 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 299 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 239, this plan is now priced at Rs 299 and includes 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 579 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 479, this plan is now priced at Rs 579 and includes 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 799 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 666, this plan is now priced at Rs 799 and includes 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits.

Rs 1899 plan: Earlier priced at Rs 1559, this plan is now priced at Rs 1899 and includes 24GB data, unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits for 336 days.

Jio announced new services

Jio is also introducing two new applications: JioSafe, a quantum-secure communication app, and JioTranslate, an AI-powered multilingual communication app. Both services will be available to Jio users free of cost for one year, adding further value to the revised plans.
