A group of students from Madrasa attacked a stall at the Amar Ekushi Book Fair in Dhaka on the performance of a book written by Taslima Nasreen on Monday, which is in exile in India according to police and eyewitness accounts.

The alleged video of the attack has gone viral on social media. Taslima Nasreen shared such a video on X.
“Today, jihadi religious extremists attacked the stall of the publisher Sabyasachi at the Bangladesh book fair. His ‘crime’ was publishing my book”, Taslima Nasreen wrote on X.
He said, “Bookfare officers and police from the local station ordered the removal of my book. Even after it was removed, the extremists attacked, ruined the stall, and closed it. “, He said.
“The government is supporting these extremists, and Jihadi activities are spreading across the country”, Nasreen said.
Taslaima Nasreen is a Bangladeshi writer, physician, feminist, secular worker.
