Actress Alia Bhatt’s next film Jigra looks like an interesting film based on its first teaser, which was released on Sunday, September 8. Directed by Vasan Bala, best known for films such as Monica, O My Darling and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, the film presents a story of ‘courage, passion and determination’. It also stars actor Vedang Raina, who made his debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
In the teaser, Alia is seen as a sister protecting her brother Vedang, who has been arrested by the police in a foreign country. Throughout the teaser, we see her running, dodging bullets, fighting tough opponents and working hard to bring her brother back. Actor Manoj Pahwa plays her mentor, who at one point tells her, “I don’t want to become a child, I want to be a child (There is no time to be a hero like Amitabh Bachchan, you have to run away) she replies, “Now I have to become a Bachchan (I want to be a hero).”
As the teaser progresses, a recreated version of the beautiful song, Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka, based on the brother-sister relationship, plays in the background. The song was originally sung by Kishore Kumar and featured in Dev Anand’s film Hare Rama Hare Krishna.
