Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has requested that her former name be restored after filing for divorce from Hollywood star Ben Affleck, reports Billboard.

In court documents, the singer has also applied for a name change, requesting the court to restore her old name Jennifer Lynn Lopez. She officially changed her name to Jennifer Lynn Affleck after marrying Affleck in a private wedding two years ago.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had two weddings. They got married in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022. Barely a month later, on August 20, 2022, the couple had a traditional wedding in Georgia.

Jennifer also wants their property to be separated. “The exact nature and extent of the separated assets and liabilities is unknown to Petitioner at this time. Petitioner reserves the right to amend this Petition when it is known,” People reports.

According to various US media reports, Jennifer filed for divorce on their second anniversary, August 20, and set the separation date as April 26, 2024.
