Jennifer Garner is offering her support to families and children affected by the wildfires that have engulfed parts of Los Angeles. In collaboration with the Save the Children organisation, the actress has been volunteering in disaster relief.
In an interview with NBC, Garner shared her experience of being involved in the campaign, especially after witnessing the tragedy so closely. Hollywood star partners with Project Camp.
Speaking to the media portal, Garner revealed the various techniques through which organizations are helping children get relief from the flames by arranging shelter and basic amenities.
He said, “Save the Children has done this for years inside shelters as part of our disaster relief. I’ve seen it all over the country. It’s crazy that it’s now in my own backyard.”

The 13 Going on 30 actress further revealed, “When disaster strikes, they step up with trauma-informed care for kids.” He continued to share details of the play area arrangement in the yard and other areas: “Therapy for them is play. … It’s therapy for these kids. It’s what they need.”
He added, “Everyone is just trying to… give kids a little happiness and normalcy — if that’s possible — and give parents a chance to figure out where they’re going to live, where their kids are at school. Have to go, have a lot of work to do.”
As for shelter, the actress previously allowed her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, to take refuge in her home, as the area where the actor lived was declared one of the risky environments.
