In a stunning turn, Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma were allegedly asked to leave a cafe in New Zealand during their recent visit. The couple, who is now looking for a more personal life in London, found themselves in an unusual position while interacting with fellow cricketers abroad.
The episode came out when Indian women’s cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues recalled the incident during an interview Mashable indiaRodrigues revealed that he and team partner Smriti Mandana had a long and attractive conversation with Kohli and Sharma at a hotel cafe where both teams were living.
Discussion with cricket began, in which Kohli gave the young players insight and encouraged. “He really Smriti and told me that ‘both of you have the power to change women’s cricket, and I can see that it is happening,” Rodrigues remembered.
The soon started as a brief conversation, covering a wide range of subjects beyond the game, it turned into a discussion of about four hours. “It felt like a meeting of some long lost friends and talking,” Rodrigues shared. He said, “We were the only reason for stopping that the cafe staff asked us to leave.”
Meanwhile, since transferred to London, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have adopted a quiet lifestyle, especially after the birth of their children.
