Last year, after a stellar (and certainly Regal) show, designer Jayati Reddy again returned again with a collection in Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 which was less about the spectacle and more about the soul.

A subject that reflects, reconstructs and reconstructs

In the show, under the title renovated Opulence, Reddy investigated what is meant to pursue India’s sartorial heritage, which talks to a modern, global Indian woman. This idea was to minimize the past, not only for apathy, but for inspiration, stability, craftsmanship and emotional modernity to re -organize ambiguity through the lens of modernity.

Legendary with romantic, eccentric, and fringes and tasles, the ENSIBALS reflected Indo-Western looks with mines and clever details had to be worn, valuable and passed.

Shostopper moment

Janhvi Kapoor closed the show for Jayanti Reddy with a sari-style drape in a blush pink fish-cut Lehenga. An unconventional Reddy piece, the flourishing of the baroque and deco grid patterns in the lehenga was shown in the expanses.

The blouse was a standout piece with its structured neckline, and blushed the pink net together on the shoulder to create a soft effect. Lared Beeded Chen added an additional ounce of luxury and rebirth in its overall form.

For her makeup, she went with a dew base, naked shiny lips, exposed the cheeks, and soft yet voluntary eyes.

At a time when “stability” is reduced in a discussion very often, the reconstructed opaque suggests that luxury should be conscious. That couture can be engineered not only Instagram, but for the movement. It should not be loud to remember that bridlewear.
