Veteran actor and politician Jaya Bachchan recently expressed her reservations about the role and professionalism of the paparazzi. During a recent event, he highlighted his respect for trained journalists and his discomfort with individuals taking photographs at celebrity functions.

In a video shared by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani, Jaya can be heard saying, “I am a product of the media, but my relationship with the paparazzi is zero. Who are these people? Are they trained to represent the people of this country? You call them media? I come from the media. My father was a journalist. I have a lot of respect for such people. (sic)”

He criticized her appearance and behavior, citing the dress and informal approach of some paparazzi. “But This one outside wearing dirty drain pipe tight clothes, with a mobile phone in his hand.(But outside the boys are wearing tight, dirty clothes and holding mobile phones in their hands), They think that just because they have a mobile, they think they can take your picture and say whatever they want and give what kind of comments they want,” she added,

Jaya also questioned the background and education of the individuals working as paparazzi. He said, “What kind of people are these people? Where do you come from, what kind of education, what is your background? (Where do they come from, what kind of education do they have, what is their background?)

His comments reflect the widespread discomfort previously expressed regarding the conduct of the paparazzi.

At another recent event in Mumbai, he directly addressed the photographers after an incident. He said, “You guys take photos, don’t misbehave. Shut up, keep your mouth shut, take the photo and finish. keep commenting from above (You guys take pictures. Don’t be rude. Keep quiet, keep your mouth shut and take pictures at the end. No need to comment on all this) (sic).”

In a recent appearance on the podcast What the hell navyaHosted by his granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, the veteran actor talked about his concerns over the editing and distribution of celebrity videos. He said, “What they record and what they publish are two different things. You have the freedom to do that – what about my freedom? (sic)”

On the work front, he was last seen in the 2023 film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
