After spreading her charm in Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor also expanded her reach to the South with her debut film Devara opposite Jr NTR. The actress has often expressed her admiration and natural affinity for the South. Now recently the Tulsi Kumari actress of Sunny Sanskaari sent a big thank you to Nayanthara’s docu-series, Nayanthara Beyond the Fairy Tale as she took inspiration from her morning.
Today, November 19, Janhvi Kapoor shared the poster of Nayanthara’s recently released documentary series, Nayanthara Beyond the Fairy Tale, on her Instagram story. The poster featured a lovely wedding picture of the South star with her husband Vignesh Sivan.
Expressing her appreciation for the show, Janhvi wrote, “Nothing more inspiring than watching a strong woman become a strong woman,” followed by a red heart emoji.
To keep an eye
In the much-awaited documentary on Netflix, Nayanthara – Beyond the Fairytale, the power couple and their close friends and colleagues, including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rana Daggubati, Atlee and others, share untold tales from their lives.
Additionally, the series also features some precious unseen moments from Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s grand wedding. The series directed by Amit Krishnan, who has previously shot to fame with his directorial debuts in Life of Pi, Dreaming to Fly and Coke Studio Tamil, has started streaming on Netflix from November 18, 2024.
In an interview with PTI earlier this year, Janhvi Kapoor reflected on her choice to do South films. According to him, the environment there and hearing and speaking that language makes him feel closer to his mother and late actress Sridevi. Considering her mother’s previous work with the families of NTR and Ram Charan, she had further said, “It felt like it was the right time, I felt I was drawn towards it.”
Talking about the work front, Janhvi will next be seen in Shashank Khaitan’s film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Varun Dhawan. The upcoming romantic-comedy film also stars Rohit Saraf, Manish Paul, Akshay Oberoi and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles.
Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, SSKTK is set to release on April 18, 2025. Apart from this, she also reportedly has a romantic-comedy film with Sidharth Malhotra.
