Jana Kramer married her longtime partner and football coach Alan Russell in a private but lavish wedding on July 13. The ceremony took place at a Scottish palace with only 35 guests in attendance. Kramer and Russell tied the knot more than a year after their engagement. The actress-singer and Russell shared their vows at Carnell Estate in Scotland. The couple chose the destination because the groom hails from the country.
Speaking to People magazine ahead of the wedding, Kramer said she was very excited to attend a traditional wedding.

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Kramer revealed that she always dreamt of marrying the football coach. And now that she is married to the man of her dreams, she is quite excited about her life ahead. “All I knew was that I wanted to marry him. We had talked about just going off and getting married on our own, but it was important for me to get Jolie and Jess married so that they could see that we are now married,” the Click actress revealed.
Talking about having a traditional wedding and choosing Scotland as the destination, the singer revealed, “We are getting married in Scotland, so the backdrop is already amazing. I just want to marry her, and I want my closest friends to be there. That’s all that really matters to us and our family.”
Russell also revealed in a segment that he has a lot of respect for his country and its heritage. But most importantly, he wanted to give Jana a special moment on her big day.
Describing their first meeting, Kramer said that she liked her husband from the very first meeting. The two met online and after chatting on WhatsApp for some time, they decided to meet.

While talking to a media portal, the actress shared, “He was so cute and very kind in his messages, and we started talking on WhatsApp. And then when I Googled him, I was like, ‘Oh, he’s really cute.’ I thought, maybe if he ever comes to the US, I’ll go on a date with him.”
Soon after, the two met for a date in Nashville, as the soccer coach was touring the country for his tournament. From then on, Kramer knew it was “game over” for her. The two have a son from their 3-year relationship.
