James Franco, Mike Tyson and Bella Thorne team up for the Italian superhero film Bunny-Man. According to a report from Deadline, all three are among the confirmed cast. Ferrari director Andrea Iervolino is set to produce the film and star as the title protagonist. According to the outlet, the cast also includes Michele Morrone (365 Days), Franco Nero (Django), and Ana Golza (Degrassi).

The film’s official synopsis reads, “An unnamed millionaire superhero who dons a rabbit mask and leads attacks against evil forces. He is motivated by a desire to avenge his sister who committed suicide after the attack, photos of which are circulating on the internet. It went viral.”

Motus Studios produced the film and its CEO Emanuele Moretti has released a statement regarding the studio’s upcoming project. The statement said the company strongly believes in the commercial potential of Bunny-Man. Lervolino spoke to Deadline about his character, saying that he would “revolutionize” the image of superheroes.

He said, “The character embodies both mystery and modernity, not only in his story but in how the audience connects with him.” The actor shared that while producing an Italian superhero for the first time was a “privilege”, he is confident the film will make a lasting impact on the global market.

Mike Tyson has reportedly completed filming his part and the film is undergoing production in Italy. The film also marks Franco’s comeback. Franco was ostracized from Hollywood after being accused of sexually inappropriate behavior. The lawsuit filed by five women, four of whom were his acting students, was settled in 2021.

The actor attended the Rome Film Festival in October to support his film Hey Joe. The actor spoke to Variety about moving on from his questionable past. “I mean, it is what it is. I’ve honestly moved on from it. It was dealt with, and I had to change. So that’s it, it’s over. I mean, I even worked in America So I’m just trying to move on,’ he told the outlet.
