James Cameron has confirmed that he is ready to take more avatar films. The Oscar winning director is proceeding with Avatar 4 and Avatar 5, both are fully written and are already dated for release. Talking to Empire before his 71st birthday, Cameron said, “I’m healthy, I am good to go. I’m not going to get it out … I can’t be able to do it … (but) If I can, I will just do it.”
The avatar franchise, which began in 2009, is making Cameron’s primary attention despite its busy schedule. The next installment, avatar: Fire and Ash, is set to release on December 19, 2025, with Avatar 4, coming on December 21, 2029, and after Avatar 5 on 19 December 2031.
Script avatar is ready through 5
James Cameron confirmed that the scripts for the avatar series are complete until the fifth installment. He also shared that he already had “ideas for six and seven”, but he would not direct them. “I am probably handing over the baton at that point. The mortality holds,” said Cameron.
He admitted that the direction of more avatar films would require stamina and dedication. “It’s six or seven years of hard work,” he admitted, saying that he is committed to now, the long -term plan may include the story passing another director.

While some fans hope that he would move forward to different stories, Cameron explained why he continues with the avatar. “(George) Lucas continued to work in the same thing? Why (Jean) Roaddenberry continued to work in the same thing? Because when you join people, why would you bloom it?”
Nevertheless, Cameron is not focused only on avatar. He is also developing other films, including Ghost of Hiroshima and The Devils. Talking to discuss the film, Cameron made Ghosts of Hiroshima “the most challenging film I ever make.” He said, “I too cannot be ready to work, but I was never stopped before that.”
