It seems that Taylor Swift can easily be considered the epitome of perfection. Why? She’s the perfect artist for her fans, the perfect girlfriend for boyfriend Travis Kelce, and the best friend to Gracie Abrams, who always offers invaluable advice.
In a new interview with Who What Wear on Sept. 4, Gracie Abrams, who first worked with Swift as a tour opener in 2023, shared that she learned a helpful tip about back pain from the pop icon.
“It’s an amazing acupressure mat that I think you can get on Amazon for about $15,” Abrams said in a social media interview for the publication on Axe. “It’s very painful, but it helps with back pain, and if you’re on tour, you’re bound to have back pain.
Taylor Swift suggested an acupressure mat for back pain because touring can be physically exhausting, often leading to pain and discomfort, especially for artists who spend long hours on stage and travel a lot. Therefore, the mat has tiny spikes to help stimulate pressure points, relieve tension and relax muscles.
Abrams, who duetted with Swift at London’s Wembley Stadium in June 2023 when she performed Us acoustically, also explained how the Eras Tour inspired her latest LP, The Secret of Us, which arrived in June. She will open for the Fortnite singer again in Toronto in November 2024.
Additionally, in an interview with PEOPLE earlier in the year, Abrams called Swift “an incredible artist and the most generous friend.” He also said that Swift believes in his ability and that he is very grateful for her support.
The bond between the two artists has only grown stronger over the years, with Taylor taking Gracie under her wing and pursuing a career in music. Fans of both artists celebrate their friendship and want to see them together as often as possible.
Abrams, the daughter of acclaimed film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, made her own path in music despite her famous family background. She rose to fame in 2019 with her single “Mean It,” followed by her debut EP, Minor, in 2020 and several hit albums.
