Hina Khan is fighting breast cancer with determination and strong spirit
It’s “Mann Ki Baat” for Hina Khan as she accepts breast cancer as normal
Hina Khan is going through one of the toughest phases of her life. Recently, the television actress announced on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. While this may be one of her toughest moments, Hina is not letting the disease dominate her or her mind. In her recent post on Instagram, she shared a video in which she attends an award function and then visits the hospital for a chemotherapy session. It is a different experience to see the glittering award functions and the horrific hospital visits clashing with each other in Hina’s world. As upsetting as it may be, she is not letting it affect her mental state. No sir, Hina is not letting the disease define her or turn her journey into a story woven with empathy. She is taking her breast cancer diagnosis in her stride and has decided to keep the “spirit of positivity as the first tool” in her toolkit. Breast cancer may be a physical battle that a person’s body fights, but the body is only strong when the mind is impenetrable.

For Hina it is “mind over matter”, which she elaborates in the caption of her video, stating, “We become what we believe and I have decided to take this challenge as an opportunity to rediscover myself. I have decided to keep the spirit of positivity as the first tool in my toolkit. I have chosen to normalise this experience for myself and I have consciously decided to manifest the outcome that I want. For me…my work commitments matter. For me my inspiration, passion and art matter. I refuse to give in. This award that I received just before my first chemo was not my motivation alone, in fact I attended this event to reassure myself that I am living up to the benchmark that I have set for myself”.

Last week, Hina shared the news of her cancer diagnosis, in which we got a glimpse of her fighting spirit. The message included the words, “I am strong, determined and fully committed to overcome this disease. My treatment has begun and I am ready to do whatever is necessary to emerge from this even stronger.” The comments included reactions from celebrities like Mouni Roy and Juhi Parmar, encouraging her with strength and positivity.
With a determined mind and strong spirit, we are sure Hina Khan's journey will only go upwards from here.
