Post Malone has his eyes set on a new city. In an interview with Kelly Bannon on Apple Music’s Today’s Country Radio, the 29-year-old rapper discussed how his upcoming project, F-1 Trillion, reflects the Nashville scene. The project will be released on Friday, August 16.
Bannon noted how welcoming the Tennessee city has been to Malone, while they talked about working in an unfamiliar city. “It’s been really nice to meet people in Nashville who have made me feel so welcome and made new friendships,” he explained, adding, “And for once, I’m not sad anymore. I’m really happy.” He told Bannon that since making the album, he has been able to slow down and take it easy.
According to Bannon, the Austin singer “made a lot of lifelong friends.” Malone joked that he would “like to stay friends with anybody who’s still with him.”

The musician explained that “there’s always something to do in LA, which is fine, but it’s not conducive to a work environment.” He recalled that when they were younger, they “had so much fun” and “could go out and then come back to work.” However, now that they are older and have a family – they have a 2-year-old daughter – they just want to make music and jam without the pressure of going out.
He is working on his country album, which he will perform with Morgan Wallen and HARDY at the 2023 CMA Awards in November. Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, which continues her country collaborations, was released in March. Pour Me a Drink featuring Blake Shelton was released in May. His daughter inspired the song Yours, which he released in July. F-1 Trillion will be available on all major streaming services starting August 16.
