Keanu Reeves about The Book of Elsewhere
Keanu Reeves is back with a new adventure. Not on screen but in books. The Book of Elsewhere will be Reeves’ first novel, set in the universe of the famous comic book series BRZRKR.
Speaking about this, the John Wick actor explained his thought process while working on the novel. During an interview with The New York Times, Reeves said, “I’m surprised at the creative act that reveals itself to me.”
The acclaimed actor further added that since he has issues related to his past, including his mother and father, “I think about death.”
Talking about the philosophical side of his novel, the 47 Ronin actor said that he cannot possibly understand the violence that prevails in the real world. He said that even though people know that we are going to die, we still keep killing each other for things that are not that important.
Reeves added that he thinks about the wonders of the world, how we all got here, and asks himself, “Who are we?”
Speaking further about the role of technology in human life, Reeves said that he doesn’t see the point in rushing to leave this planet and go digital in the future. He further added that instead of all this digitisation, he wonders about love and the power it holds.
He then asked why death is so feared and why love has become weak in this world even though it is the most important and strongest feeling on this planet.
