Paul Mescal is clarifying false rumors about his alleged one-night stand. In a conversation with GQ Magazine, the Gladiator II actor revealed that the rumors spreading on the internet have taken a toll on him personally as well as his mother.
According to reports, rumors claimed that Mescal would run away the next morning after spending the night with his partner while the other man was distracted. Addressing the rumors, the Irish native called them “categorically untrue.”
Speaking to the media outlet, Mescal mentioned that he and his siblings couldn’t stop laughing after seeing the videos and news going around. Talking about his mother, the actor said, “One thing that troubled me was that I was in the kitchen; I remember my mother was watching the video and she was getting upset.” He further asked, “Isn’t this disastrous?”
The actor revealed that he understands the dynamics of the internet and had a lot of fun with his siblings. If the rumors were true, they would cause problems, but since they were not, they could be easily ridiculed.
Meanwhile, the Normal People actor is currently dating Gracie Abrams. The Hollywood star said that he wants to keep his relationships private and away from the limelight.

“I mean, the speculation has been kind of crazy over the last several years,” he shared. Mescal continued, “I’m not comfortable inviting anyone into that part of my life. How I am in my private life is very valuable to me because I get very little information about it, and it’s public.” May be of interest, but it is not publicly binding information.
On the other hand, the Pho actor revealed that his Oscar nomination for the film Afterson created a wave of happiness in his house despite it being difficult.
Following the actor’s nomination, his sister, Nell Mescal, posted on her social media about the contradictory situations in their family. “My mom got a haircut today in preparation for chemotherapy and then Paul was nominated for an Oscar. Life is weird,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Mescal is set to be seen in Gladiator II opposite Pedro Pascal in the lead role. The film, directed by Ridley Scott, will be released in theaters on November 15.
