On Tuesday, the academy announced the shortlist for 12 categories. In the Best International Feature Film category, they have shortlisted 15 films. Of these 15 films, five will be selected for the final nominations, which will be announced on January 22.

Producer Karan Johar is very happy with this news homebound Making it on the Oscar shortlist. While sharing the poster of the film, he wrote that he is unable to express his feelings and is very happy on this achievement.

It is an emotional story that explores friendship, duty and the pressure that young Indians face due to oppression, class and economic issues.
