Chiyaan Vikram had initially announced his 63rd film with Maveran director Madonna Ashwin, which was tentatively titled Chian63. However, the actor later revealed that his next project will be with debutant director Bodi Rajkumar, with the makers unveiling an action-packed announcement poster.
Now, it appears that the actor’s collaboration with Madonna Ashwin is over, with the director possibly moving on to work with Karthi on his next project.
Chiyaan Vikram and Madonna Ashwin’s film Giri?
According to Valai Pechu, director Madone Ashwin has narrated a script to Karthi, and the actor reportedly liked it. The upcoming film is said to be produced by Suriya under the banner of Jhagaram Studios.
Furthermore, the report also suggests that the director may collaborate with Sivakarthikeyan once again for a future project. While unconfirmed, it could potentially be a sequel to Maviran. However, these are still speculations.
Amidst this discussion, it appears that Maddon Ashwin’s project with Chiyaan Vikram has been put on hold for the time being. Recently, the Anniyan actor shared an update on his upcoming films, hinting that he has spent the last year listening to multiple scripts and has finalized four of them as part of his lineup.
Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi’s workfront
Chiyaan Vikram Veera was last seen playing the lead role in Dheera Suran: Part 2 (2025). Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the action thriller also stars Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles.
Looking ahead, the actor will next work on the tentative title Chiyan63. Although further details about the film are yet to be revealed, Bodhi Rajkumar is set to make his debut in Tamil feature cinema. Although little is known about him at the moment, reports suggest that he is a short film producer who is making the move towards feature films.
Interestingly, this is the first time in 23 years that Vikram will be working with a debutant filmmaker. Earlier, the Anniyan actor had collaborated with debutant director Balaji Sakthivel for the film Samurai (2003).
On the other hand, Karthi He was last seen in Va Vaathiyar co-starring Kriti Shetty. The actor will be next seen in Sardaar 2 and is currently working on the period action martial.
