Late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan is quite active on social media. He is often seen sharing heart-touching things for his father. Recently, he shared a video clip from Billu starring the late actor and Shah Rukh Khan. He recalled the shot scene and praised the ‘magic’ created on screen.
Some time ago, Babil Khan released an emotional video clip from the 2009 released film Billu. This powerful and touching scene featured his father and late actors Irrfan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Inspired by his father’s brilliant performance in the film, he praised his extraordinary talent and versatility.
He wrote, “I remember this scene was being shot, I was on the set at that time but I was too young to understand the magic that is happening in creation. It’s strange and yet beautiful how life takes away your most precious thing, just to show you the way back to your roots. By forgetting its roots, even that centuries-old tree does not survive.”
To keep an eye
Reacting to the post, many internet users couldn’t stop themselves from praising Khan’s exceptional acting skills. One fan wrote, “Man!! Those pauses! Those rhythms and the breaks in the rhythm later! Those eyes and the soul peeking out of them! This is genius!” Another fan wrote, “Enough to make me cry. Wish these two did more movies together” while a third fan said, “Awesome legend in one frame” and another fan said, “This scene from Billu movie.”
The 2009 film Billu was a remake of the Malayalam film Katha Parayumpol. Both versions were directed by Priyadarshan. The Hindi film starred Irrfan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Lara Dutta in lead roles, with Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor in special roles.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Babil Khan followed in his father’s footsteps and made his acting debut in 2022 with Anvita Dutt’s film Kaala, which also featured Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee in pivotal roles. After that, his performance was appreciated in R Madhavan and Kay Kay Menon’s series The Railway Men, released in 2023.
Apart from this, he is also reported to have Shoojit Sircar’s The Umesh Chronicles opposite megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
