The iQOO Z9 series now has two more members with the iQOO Z9s and iQOO Z9s Pro. On the surface both phones have the same core specs including a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display, 50MP main camera, and a 5,500 mAh battery. There are some key differences too, so let’s take a look.
While both phones feature the same FHD+ 120Hz display, the Z9s Pro has a peak local brightness of up to 4,500 nits, while the Z9s has 1,800 nits. Both panels have optical under-display fingerprint readers and 16MP selfie cameras inside a punch-hole cutout.
Both devices come with different chipsets. The Z9s Pro has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, while the iQOO Z9s has MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300SoC. Both phones are configurable with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
On the back, the Z9s and Z9s Pro have the same 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor that offers OIS and up to 4K video recording. The main camera also supports AI Erase and AI Photo Enhance features. The second shooter on the Z9s Pro is an 8MP ultrawide lens while the Z9s has a 2MP portrait camera.

We got a chance to spend some time with the Z9s Pro at a media event in Baku, Azerbaijan, and we took some photo and video samples, which you can check out here.
Both phones run Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, with up to two years of Android software updates and three years of security updates. You also get IP64 dust and water resistance and a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W wired charging on the Pro and 44W on the vanilla model.
iQOO Z9s Colours
The iQOO Z9s is available in Titanium Matte and Onyx Green colours. The Z9s Pro is available in Luxe Marble and Flamboyant Orange, with the latter having a vegan leather back.
iQOO Z9s Pro Colours
The iQOO Z9s starts at Rs 19,999 ($238) and goes up to Rs 23,999 ($285) for the 12/256GB trim. Its open sale will begin on August 29 at 12 noon on Amazon India and the iQOO online store.
