According to a recent leak by tipster Paras Guglani, iQOO may soon launch its next smartphone in India for under Rs 30,000. The iQOO Neo 10R is expected to be part of the Neo 10 series, which also includes the Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro models. Currently, the Neo 10 series is exclusive to China, but the Neo 10R 5G could possibly be the first to arrive in Indian markets in February 2025.

According to the leak, the iQOO Neo 10R is said to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and up to 12GB of RAM, making it a strong contender in the sub-Rs 30,000 price segment. If the rumors are true, then the Neo 10R could give a tough competition to the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and the recently launched Poco X7 Pro.

Although exact pricing details have not been confirmed, the iQOO Neo 10R 5G is expected to come under Rs 30,000. This will make it an attractive option for those who want a phone with top-tier performance without the premium price tag associated with flagship phones. However, it is unclear whether all RAM and storage configurations will fit within this price range. The device is expected to launch in two colors – Blue White Slice (white) and Lunar Titanium (black/dark grey).

The iQOO Neo 10R is expected to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone may come in two RAM and storage configurations – 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB. On the software side, it will feature Funtouch OS 15, possibly Funtouch OS 15 over Android 15. Under the hood, the device is likely to house a large 6,400mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging.

For photos and videos, the iQOO Neo 10R may feature a dual-camera setup at the back. It may include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens as the primary camera. There may be a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

Interestingly, iQOO’s Neo series for India has often been rebranded versions of its Chinese counterparts. For example, the Neo 9 Pro in India was a rebranded Neo 9 from China with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the original Neo 9 Pro in China used the Dimensity 9300+ chip. Following this trend, the Neo 10 Pro for India could be China’s rebranded Neo 10 powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
