iQOO today unveiled the iQOO 15R in India as the first ‘R’ model in its Numbers lineup. The iQOO 15R is aimed at young professionals who are looking for a smartphone that is compact but also packs a powerful chipset and a large battery under the hood.
iQOO is building on this by introducing the iQOO 15R with a 6.59″ AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, and a 7,600 mAh battery.
The display, protected by SHOT ZenSation Alpha glass, has a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,750×1,260-pixel resolution, and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The 15R boots Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box, and iQOO promises up to four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the smartphone.
The iQOO 15R’s 7,600 mAh battery supports 100W wired charging, and is advertised to charge from 1% to 50% in 33 minutes, and up to 100% in 63 minutes with the bundled 100W power adapter. The smartphone also supports bypass charging and reverse wired charging.
The iQOO 15R has three cameras – a 50MP primary (Sony LYT-700V), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie.
Other features of the iQOO 15R include Q2 supercomputing chip, 6.5K IceCore VC cooling system, support for 144 FPS gaming in BGMI via frame interpolation technology, 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and NFC. The smartphone comes with stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and IP68 and IP69 ratings.
iQOO 15R has been introduced in Dark Knight and Triumph Silver colors. The Dark Knight model is 7.90 mm thick, weighs 202 grams and has a fiberglass back. The Triumph Silver model, on the other hand, is 8.10mm thick, weighs 206 grams and has a glass back.
iQOO 15R color options
The iQOO 15R comes in three memory configurations – 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB, priced at INR44,999 ($495/€420), INR47,999 ($530/€450), and INR52,999 ($580/€495), respectively. Customers purchasing the phone with an HDFC Bank or Axis Bank credit or debit card will get a discount of INR4,000 ($45/€40).
iQOO 15R will go on sale in India starting March 3 via iQOO’s official website, Amazon.in, vivo exclusive stores, Reliance Digital, and other offline retailers.
The iQOO 15R is also available for pre-order in India through the same sales channels, and those who pre-order will get a free pair of vivo/iQOO TWS earphones worth INR1,899 ($20/€18). The sale for pre-order customers will begin on March 2 at 10am IST.
