iQOO 13 has been launched in India. It will likely be seen competing with the likes of the OnePlus 13, which is set to debut in India in January 2025, the brand has just confirmed. Both devices are already on sale in China, so we’ve compared the specs and features of both the phones so you can understand how well they stack up against each other when compared. As far as the price is concerned, the price of iQOO 13 has been announced at Rs 54,999 and the official retail price of OnePlus 13 has been kept under wraps. But, even if the company decides to increase the price, the OnePlus phone is likely to be priced below Rs 70,000 as the OnePlus 12 went on sale for Rs 64,999. While we’ll have to wait for a few weeks to get clarity on pricing, let’s take a look at the specs of both the flagships.
iQOO 13 vs OnePlus 13: Design
The iQOO 13 looks similar to the iQOO 12 with cosmetic changes. The rear camera module is now complemented by a customizable “Energy Halo” LED that supports six dynamic effects and 12 color combinations. The device also comes in new colors and has a glass back. The overall look of the device is premium.
OnePlus 13 comes with a refreshing look. It comes in a new paint job with subtle changes in the rear panel design. You’ll still see the same circular camera module on the back, which houses four sensors. The edges and screen are now flat instead of curved. The new version looks slightly slimmer and is available in leather or glass finish. It is sold in China in the colors blue (leather), obsidian (glass), and white (glass). The silver accent on the rear camera module matches the side frame, giving it a nice contrasting look. There is also a thin silver plating along with the rear camera setup. So, all these small changes that we can see from the official images of the OnePlus 13 are quite evident and show that the OnePlus 12 successor offers a new look to the users.
iQOO 13 vs OnePlus 13: Are they waterproof?
No, they are not waterproof, but the devices are IP68 and IP69 rated. So, the first basically means that the device can survive in more than 1 meter of water for about an hour or so. The IP69 rating means the flagship can withstand high-pressure water jets and steam cleaning. In short, you don’t have to worry about it getting damaged by water.
iQOO 13 vs OnePlus 13: Display
The iQOO 13 features a 6.82-inch 2K BOE Q10 8T LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 4,500nits peak brightness, and HDR support. iQOO also supports 2592Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker and reduce eye strain.
With the OnePlus 13, you get a 6.82-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution. Similar to the OnePlus 12, the device’s panel supports 1,600 nits of brightness and 4,500 nits of peak brightness in high brightness mode. One of the key features is the ability to use the device while wearing gloves – a much-needed added feature, especially during the cold winters of Delhi when using the phone without gloves can be challenging. The OnePlus 13 also has a local high refresh rate feature, which means the display can run at different refresh rates. For example, the device may show YouTube videos at a lower refresh rate and offer support for 60Hz/90Hz/120Hz when scrolling through the comments section or other videos on the platform.
iQOO 13 vs OnePlus 13: Chipset, software
Both flagships are powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is based on the 3nm process. The smartphones are also running on the latest Android 15 operating system.
iQOO 13 vs OnePlus 13: Camera
As for optics, the iQOO 13 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter with OIS. Is included. ,
The OnePlus 13 retains the OnePlus 12’s 50-megapixel LYT-808 main camera but the telephoto and ultrawide lenses have been upgraded to 50-megapixels. It also has Hasselblad branding, a 4K/60fps Dolby Vision video, and a 32-megapixel front camera. The OnePlus 12 offered pretty good camera performance for the price and the new version is expected to perform much better. We would love to see its low-light photography as the company is boasting about it in China.
iQOO 13 vs OnePlus 13: Battery, charging
The iQOO 13 packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging. The OnePlus 13 comes with a 6,000mAh battery instead of the 5,400mAh unit seen inside the OnePlus 12. It has support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
One interesting thing to note here is that OnePlus is offering magnetic wireless charging this year (via the case). We may see a magnetic 100W power bank accessory in India, but there is no confirmation.
