iQOO 13: 4 reasons to buy

– The iQOO 13 features a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Interestingly, this is the second smartphone with this chipset in India after Realme GT 7 Pro launched in November. The latest Qualcomm chipset shows that exceptional performance can be expected on the iQOO 13.

– The iQOO 13 features a 6.82-inch 2K (1440 x 3168 pixels) AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of normal brightness, and 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The flat design of the display enhances the experience, making it ideal for gaming and watching videos, with no issues with reflections or accidental touches. Additionally, the 300Hz touch sampling rate of the smartphone further enhances its gaming performance. It also set a new benchmark as it is the world’s first Q10 2K 144Hz Ultra iCare display.

– The iQOO 13 has an impressive camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor that delivers sharp and vibrant photos. As shown in our first impression, we have something in common. This is complemented by a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens for wide landscapes and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom for clear, lossless close-ups. The device also supports versatile video recording, offering 8K at 24fps and 4K at 60fps across all lenses. This is a significant improvement compared to the iQOO 12, which, despite having a good camera, was limited to 1080p for front-camera video recording.

–With a demanding processor like the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the phone needs ample battery life. And iQOO takes it up a notch. The iQOO 13 packs a massive 6,000mAh battery with 120W charging support. As per our initial review, we saw fast charging on the iQOO 13. The device took only 22 minutes to charge from 37 percent to 100 percent.

iQOO 13: 1 reason to skip

– Unlike its predecessor, the iQOO 12, the iQOO 13 lacks a periscope lens, limiting its optical zoom to 2x. iQOO explained that the decision to omit the periscope lens was made to keep the price of the iQOO 13 competitive and affordable.

Although the phone does not come without its flaws, the iQOO 13 is an excellent phone in this price segment. It has a gorgeous display and design, a powerful processor that’s backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery, and has a 50-megapixel triple camera system. Going by the specifications, the iQOO 13 is indeed a flagship device that delivers on many aspects.
