The 18th season of the Indian Premier League is ready for Kickstart at Eden Gardens, Kolkata from March 22, 2025. While cricket fans are excited to see their favorite teams locking the horns with each other, B-town celebs like Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan are also eager to take the site down with their electrification performance.
Like every season, in this edition of IPL 2025, many Bollywood stars will be seen on fire on stage with their performance in the opening ceremony. According to a report by News18, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan are expected to demonstrate their impeccable dance talent at the program hosted at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
With him, Ace singer Arijit Singh will mesmerize the crowd with his intimate music. His singer-composer is expected to expect a day to sing some chartbuster hit from his impressive music career. While the event will witness an impressive line-up of artists, it will sweat it to entertain the audience in the stand, IPL teams Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will also shut down the horns on the early days.
The cricket tournament, starting from March 22, 2025, will end on 25 May, 2025 with an equally entertaining grand completion. The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League will feature ten teams competing in 74 matches. The game will be held in 13 cities in India, in which Kolkata will host the opening ceremony.
Shraddha Kapoor came back, the actress was last seen in the blockbuster hit film, Strey 2: Sarkate Ki Atak. The 2028 horror-comedy film, Stri’s sequel, included Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Uchhtti Khurana. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan recorded a special presence, repeating his role from the discipline.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun will be seen next time with Janhvi Kapoor in Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari. He will also share the screen with Sunny Deol in Seema 2.
