We are away from the launch of the iPhone 17 series less than two months away, and if rumors and leaks happen, Apple is planning some noticeable changes this year. While the September launch is still a few weeks away, we already have a very fair idea of what to expect, not only in terms of design and specifications, but also pricing, color options and lineups. One of the biggest changes can be the beginning of a brand-nine model called the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to replace the current plus model.

Here is a detailed preview of the entire iPhone 17 lineup, including iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

iPhone 17

Starting with the standard iPhone 17, this device is expected to offer concrete improvements on the iPhone 16, keeping its position in the Flagship range of Apple. This will reportly provide a 6.27 -inch Ltpo OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Yes, you read that right. We may finally find a 120Hz high refresh rate display on a non-ex-pro iPhone. Now, whether it is promotion or not, it is yet to be seen, and if it is, then there is a high chance that it can always support for the functionality.

Under the hood, the iPhone 17 can be powered by Apple’s new A19 chip, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. Storage is expected to start from 128GB. The current 12-megapixel forest is coming in a large upgrade front camera with a new 24-megapixel sensor set to replace the forest. On the back, it should carry two cameras, which is vertically vertically like the iPhone 16, although specific improvements in image quality are still wrapped.

In the context of the battery, there is no confirmation number yet, but rumors suggest that 17 Pro Max will be boosted, the base model can stick with the same capacity of the previous year. The iPhone 17 will probably come in a new set of colors, including steel gray, purple, light blue and green -with normal black and white. Prices are expected to start from $ 799 in the US, which broadly translates Rs 70,000.

iPhone 17 Air

In place of the iPhone 16 Plus, the new iPhone 17 is a matter of air city, since it first appeared in the rumor mill. This model is about design – thin, light and more elegant. However, the slim form factor comes at a cost. The battery size will reportly fall to about 2,800mAh – 20 percent less than the iPhone 16 Plus. This can be a concern for users who prefer battery life.

The display will be a large 6.65-inch Ltpo OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and always support. It is expected to run the A19 chip and come up with 8GB RAM. On the back, the iPhone 17 Air will allegedly have a single 48-megapixel camera, and the same new 24-megapixel front camera will be found in the series. There is also a slight design change – the front camera may shift to the left of the face ID sensor. The air of iPhone 17 is expected to start for $ 899 in the US, which is around Rs 78,800.

iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max

Pro models are always showstopper, and this year does not look different. Both the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max get the new A19 Pro Chip and 12GB RAM, with the storage starts with 256GB. The OLED screen is rumored to be 6.27 inch (17 Pro) and 6.86 inch (17 Pro Max) – similar to the iPhone 16 Pro model – 120Hz refresh rate and better peak glow. These displays are likely to be protected by a new anti-glare and scratch-resistant glass developed in collaboration with corning.

A standout design change is the new camera island, a rectangular setup spread over the width of the phone. The iPhone 17 Pro Max may also have a small dynamic island cutout, although opinion varies on whether this change will make it in the final product.

The rear camera system is the place where professionals actually shine. The iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to feature a 48-megapixel primary rear camera, which is added with a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.5x zoom (and 7X crop zoom), and a new 24-megapixel front camera. 17 Pro Max 8X can go even further with telephoto zoom. Apple is also called a new camera control button on the top edge of the phone along with working on a dedicated camera app for professionals.

In terms of charging, a new Magsafe upgrade upgrade can push the wireless speed up to 50W, supporting the iPhone 16. Apple may also include a vapor chamber cooling system to help with heat management during gaming or heavy functions.

The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are expected to start from $ 1,099 and $ 1,199 in the US, which translates for Rs 96,300 and Rs 1,05,000 respectively.

In addition to these details, the entire iPhone 17 series will be ship with iOS 26, which introduces a refreshing visual design called liquid glass. This is to bring a glass -like effect for the UI elements in the apps and menu. Beyond, many useful features are coming: call screening, hold assist, AI-operated maps and group chat poll in messages.

Of course, not all iOS 26 features were shown in WWDC 2025. Apple’s possibility is saving some surprise for the iPhone 17 launch event.
