The new render of the upcoming iPhone 17 Air has leaked, which may be the next model of Apple, takes a new look at it. These images shared by John Prosar from Frontpagtech suggest that Apple may plan to offer a different design for the upcoming iPhone 17 Air.
One of the most noticeable features shown in the render is the rear camera setup. Unlike other models of Apple, which come up with multiple rear cameras, a single (48-megapixel) rear camera will be placed in the iPhone 17 Air allegedly, a detailed, rectangular camera bar. Surprisingly, the rear module is quite prominent despite only one camera housing at the back. But, it is just a render and not an official image, so users are advised to take fresh design details with a pinch of salt. Furthermore, it is worth indicating that this design is contrary to earlier reports, which suggested a top-focused camera placement. Despite the difference, the new design can offer a new look to the iPhone series.
In addition, we are likely to see an ultra-thin body, something that has now been in a rumor for a long time. According to the leak, the phone may have a thickness between 5.5 mm and 6 mm, making it one of the thinning iPhones apples that have ever produced. This slim design, however, may come to the cost of low specifications.
The single rear camera is likely to lack optical zoom options seen in other iPhone models, and the front camera quality with speaker performance may also be reduced. Additionally, the device has been tipped to run on the base A19 chip, as opposite to the more powerful A19 Pro found in the premium model. Well, only time will tell what the real design and features of the new iPhone 17 air model can be.
Additionally, this is not the first time Apple is experimenting with a new iPhone model. While its standard, Pro and Pro Max iPhone versions have worked mostly for brands, Apple’s earlier efforts in the iPhone Mini and iPhone Plus models have not been extremely successful. With the iPhone 17 Air, Apple can aim to a standout device with a specific, ultra-slim design, even though it means renouncing some high-end features. According to the leak, we are expected to be launched in Apple’s 2025 iPhone 17 event, which is expected to be in September.
