Apple Hub recently leaked the prices of the iPhone 16 series. It shows that the base model of the iPhone 16 could be priced at $799 (roughly Rs. 67,100). The iPhone 16 Plus with a larger display is expected to be priced at $899 (roughly Rs. 75,500). The 256GB variant of the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to be priced at $1,099 (roughly Rs. 92,300). At the same time, the price of the ultra-premium iPhone 16 Pro Max is said to start at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,00,700) for the same storage capacity.

These are the leaked prices for the US market. Like every year, the iPhone 16 series price in India is expected to be very high.

To recall, the iPhone 15 Pro was priced at Rs 1,34,900 and the Pro Max at Rs 1,59,900 in India. So, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max could either be priced the same or Apple could hike the prices by a few thousand rupees to cover the cost of increased components and premium features.

Since the company has hiked the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro by Rs 5,000 and the Pro Max by Rs 20,000, it is not expected to announce a major price hike with the launch of the iPhone 16 series. The iPhone 15 went on sale in India at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB storage model and the Plus model at Rs 89,900.

iPhone 16 Pro, Pro Max: Why might prices increase?

The iPhone 16 and its Plus models could be priced the same as the standard iPhone 15 models as leaks suggest and the new models are also said to get minor upgrades. Since the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are likely to get a major improvement in the rear camera setup, some minor changes in the design, a new chipset, AI features, and bigger batteries as well as displays, it is likely that these changes could push up the prices further.

According to a report by Economic Daily, Apple may include high-end molded glass lenses in the iPhone 16 Pro models, aimed at making the device lighter and thinner and improving optical zoom capabilities.
