The Apple iPhone 16 series has finally launched, featuring several major upgrades over the previous generation. This includes an action button across all models, a new camera control button for easy-access camera features, an A18 chipset to power Apple’s generative AI, improved cameras and battery life, and more. Apart from this, the iPhone 16 Pro models took center stage during the launch. However, the biggest question is how are these Pro models different? Or is there any other difference apart from the screen size?

iPhone 16 Pro vs iPhone 16 Pro Max: How different are they?

Display and Design: The easiest difference to identify between the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max is the display size. While the elder sibling has a 6.9-inch display, the iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display. But other than that, both devices have the same bezel size and refresh rate. The panels are OLED as before, and have a 120 Hz maximum refresh rate with the same ProMotion branding. Other than that, the design is also the same. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have a triple-camera setup. Other than that, the design hasn’t changed in a long time. The titanium finish now comes in four colours – Titanium Black, Titanium White, Natural Titanium, and the all-new Desert Titanium.

Processor: The iPhone 16 series is powered by the A18 chip. With the advanced iPhone 16 Pro, the processor is the A18 Pro chipset. Both versions have 6-core CPUs with two performance and four efficiency cores. The regular one has 5-cores, the Pro has a 6-core GPU, which is the same as last year’s Apple A17 Pro. Apart from these, nothing has changed.

Both iPhone Pro models will get Apple Intelligence at the same time, with the same features. While all iPhone 16 models get a camera control button, both 16 Pro models have an additional action button.

Camera: The triple rear camera system has been upgraded over the iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro models feature a new 48-megapixel Fusion Camera with a second-generation quad-pixel sensor, allowing 0 shutter lag in 48MP ProRAW and HEIF photos. The cameras also support 4K120 video capture. A new 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera with autofocus has been added. Both Pro models come with a 12-megapixel sensor with a 5x telephoto lens with a 120mm focal length.

The main thing is that the camera specifications of both the Pro models are the same.

Battery: The battery life of the iPhone 16 series has been praised a lot. However, the exact information about the battery life was not given during the launch. But if we look at the rumors, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have a 3,600mAh battery and the iPhone 16 Pro 4,700mAh battery. However, according to the rumors, the charging speed will be the same. Wired charging speed is expected to be 20W and 25W, with wireless MagSafe charging support.

price: Overall, it is exactly what it looks like. The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are exactly the same, except for their size. But there is a price difference of Rs 15,000. The iPhone 16 Pro comes with a starting price of Rs 1,19,900 in India. The most premium one, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, will cost you Rs 1,44900 in the Indian market.
