The iPhone 16 series is expected to launch in India and other global markets in September, which is a month away. Although a lot of information has already leaked online, even more information about the upcoming iPhones is making the rounds on the internet. The iPhone 16 series battery details have already leaked, but a new rumour claims to have obtained accurate details.

Chinese Weibo-based leaker Instant Digital has claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 3,577mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max could have a 4,676mAh battery. While this is still less than Android phones, the 2024 iPhones are said to have the largest batteries ever in an iOS device. Also, the battery optimization of Apple devices is better than Android phones.

Comparatively, the iPhone 15 Pro has a 3,274mAh battery and the Pro Max model has a 4,422mAh battery. According to MacRumors, this suggests that Apple has increased the battery capacity of the new phones by 6 to 9 percent.

If we look at the previous leaks, the iPhone 16 is said to have a bigger 3,561mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Plus could feature a 4,006mAh unit. While the previous leak did not reveal the details of the Pro models, the iPhone 16 Pro Max was reported to have a bigger 4,676mAh battery, something that the latest leak also suggests. As per the report, the iPhone 16 Pro Max may be capable of delivering 30 hours of battery life and the Pro models are set to come with stacked battery technology for better energy density and longer battery life.

This year, Apple is also rumoured to introduce enhanced fast charging support with the iPhone 16 series. Leaks suggest that the new iPhones may come with faster 40W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. But, fast-charging support was rumoured last year as well and that didn’t happen with the iPhone 15 series. So, there is no guarantee if the iPhone 16 series will get it or not.
