Apple’s big fall event is just around the corner, and the excitement is higher than ever. You can set your calendar for September 2024 as the iPhone 16 is expected to make its grand debut. Although Apple hasn’t officially revealed anything, the tech rumour mill is giving away details about what’s in store. From new designs to powerhouse chips and game-changing camera upgrades, the iPhone 16 series promises to be a showstopper. But that’s not all—iOS 18 and some great AI features are also included, though you might have to wait a bit for the full package. iPhone 16: Design and colours

Starting with the design, the iPhone 16 is rumoured to feature some new changes. Leaks suggest that the standard iPhone 16 will feature a dual-camera setup in a vertical alignment just like the iPhone X and iPhone 11, but with a modern twist. The cameras are expected to be housed in a capsule-shaped module, giving the back of the phone a new, sleeker look.

In terms of colors, we can expect to see five options: white, black, blue, green, and pink. The green seems darker, and the blue might remind you of the iPhone 5c. These colors are likely to be available for both the standard iPhone 16 and the larger “Plus” variant.

iPhone 16: Power and performance

The iPhone 16 series is expected to be a powerhouse, thanks to Apple’s new A18 Pro chip. Built using TSMC’s advanced 3nm technology, this chip will enable advanced features, particularly in AI and machine learning, that will be an integral part of iOS 18. This means faster, smarter and more efficient performance, making everyday tasks easier and more intuitive.

Additionally, there are rumours that the Pro models could come with up to 2TB of storage, which is double the storage offered in the previous model. iPhone 16: Battery life and charging

While the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Max are expected to have bigger batteries with a 6 percent and 5 percent increase in capacity respectively, the iPhone 16 Plus could see a 9% reduction. However, Apple is likely to use stacked battery technology to improve energy density and lifespan.
