Apple has finally introduced the iPhone 16 line-up to the world. The new iPhone 16 series that comes with iOS 18 has been given many new features, which have come for the first time in the history of Apple. These unique features include many customizations, new physical buttons like camera control and most importantly, Apple Intelligence. Just like before, Apple has launched four devices this year; iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. But you get all these features at a price. iPhone 16 series: Pre-orders, price and availability

The iPhone 16 series is set to hit the market later this month. But the pre-sale will start on September 13 at 5:30 PM. You can book the iPhone 16 models through Flipkart, Amazon, Apple Store and other platforms.

As always, there is a difference between the US prices compared to the India prices. The base variant will be available at $799 (roughly Rs. 67,000), while it is priced at Rs. 79,900 in India. The iPhone 16 Plus will be available at Rs. 89,900, up from $899 (roughly Rs. 75,500). The iPhone 16 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a starting price of Rs. 1,19,900 in India. The most premium, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, will cost you Rs. 1,44,900 in the Indian market.

iPhone 16 series: Design and specifications

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models feature a new design. Bringing back the design language of the iPhone X, the iPhone 16 base model will feature a dual-camera setup placed on a capsule island. The iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Plus has a larger 6.7-inch screen. The Pro models, on the other hand, have the same design as the iPhone 15 Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen, the largest screen ever on any iPhone. Both models feature thin borders and always-on 120Hz ProMotion displays. The Pro models are available in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and a new Desert Titanium colour.

The iPhone 16 series is powered by the advanced A18 chipset, which uses second-generation 3nm technology. The iPhone 16 now comes with a powerful 48-megapixel main camera, which combines 48MP and 12MP photos into a clear 24MP image. It also has a 2x telephoto zoom option using the central 12MP of the sensor, as well as a fast f/1.6 aperture for better low-light shots. The same applies to the iPhone 16 Plus model.

The Pro models have a triple rear camera system. These models feature a new 48MP Fusion Camera with a second-gen quad-pixel sensor, allowing 0 shutter lag in 48MP ProRAW and HEIF photos. The cameras also support 4K120 video capture. A new 48MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus has been added. Both Pro models come with a 12MP sensor with a 5x telephoto lens with a 120mm focal length.
