Hundreds of protesters, mainly youths, launched the ‘Nabanna Abhiyan’ from two locations in Kolkata on Tuesday afternoon and demanded the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the arrest of those responsible for the rape-murder of a doctor at the RG Kar hospital. Those in the rally held the chief minister responsible for failing to ensure safety of women, which they argue led to the RG Kar tragedy that sparked outrage across the country.
