Apple is set to launch its iPhone 16 series next week on September 9. While fans are eagerly waiting for the official launch, leaks have already revealed the possible prices of the Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models. The key specifications and design of the new iPhones have also leaked online, but we will take a look at the leaked prices of the iPhone 16 series.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro prices leaked ahead of launch
Apple Hub has leaked the prices of the next-gen iPhones. The Apple iPhone 16 could start at $799 (roughly Rs. 67,100), while the iPhone 16 Plus could be priced at $899 (roughly Rs. 75,500). As for the Pro models, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro could be priced at $1,099 (roughly Rs. 92,300) for the 256GB variant, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max could start at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,00,700).
These prices are for the US market, but Indian buyers should be prepared for higher costs due to import duties and additional expenses.
iPhone 16 series: India price expectations
In India, Apple’s iPhones are usually priced higher than in global markets. For instance, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro was priced at Rs 1,34,900, while the Pro Max was priced at Rs 1,59,900. The Apple iPhone 15 was priced in India at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB storage model and Rs 89,900 for the Plus model. With the iPhone 16 and Plus, a similar pricing structure may be followed, and there could be a slight price hike for the Pro model due to new features as well as higher production costs.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are rumoured to get major upgrades, including better camera systems, more powerful chipsets, slimmer designs, bigger batteries, and AI capabilities. These features in the Pro models could lead to a price hike in India, making them slightly more expensive than their predecessors. However, this is just based on leaks and the official pricing will be confirmed at the launch event next week. People can stay tuned to India Today Tech for all the updates.
