Apple is hosting its much-awaited Glow Time event today at 10:30 PM IST where the tech giant is expected to introduce the new iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, AirPods 4, and more. Ahead of the event, Apple’s current premium iPhone 15 Pro is getting a significant drop in prices across various e-commerce platforms, making it a great time for buyers looking to buy last year’s flagship – which is still one of the powerful smartphones at discounted rates.
On Flipkart, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro with 128GB storage and Black Titanium colour is listed at Rs 1,39,900. BNut users with Flipkart Axis credit cards can avail an additional discount of Rs 6,990, bringing the effective price down to Rs 1,32,810. Apart from this, users can also avail an exchange offer, which offers a cashback amount of up to Rs 46,350 depending on the device they want to trade in.
Meanwhile, Amazon is offering the iPhone 15 Pro in 128 GB, Black Titanium at a more attractive price of Rs 1,24,200. Additional bank offers and exchange deals are also available.
Vijay Sales has rolled out a price cut on its online website, under which the 128GB White Titanium iPhone 15 Pro is available for Rs 1,21,490. Interested buyers can enjoy an instant discount of up to Rs 4,500 when using HDFC Bank credit or debit cards for their purchase, making it an attractive option for HDFC cardholders.
On Croma, the iPhone 15 Pro with 128GB, Natural Titanium is priced at Rs 1,29,800. Buyers can also avail an exchange offer of up to Rs 1,10,330, depending on the value of the device.
Will Apple discontinue the iPhone 15 Pro?
With the launch of the iPhone 16 series, there is a high possibility that Apple will discontinue the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, continuing its tradition of phasing out the previous year’s premium device. Apple usually discontinues the Pro models a year after their release to streamline its product lineup and push the latest generation device.
Although the discontinuation of the iPhone 15 Pro series seems imminent, it is important to note that these devices will still receive software updates and support from Apple. In addition, customers will also have the option to purchase the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max from third-party retailers, e-commerce platforms, and stores until the current stock lasts.
Is getting the iPhone 15 on discount still a good deal?
Well, it depends. Despite being discontinued, the iPhone 15 Pro will remain an extremely capable smartphone, with a premium titanium build, a powerful A17 Pro chip, an advanced camera system with seven pro lenses, and a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology. Apple Intelligence – which, by the way, Apple will give to the entire iPhone 16 series – will also be available in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, so users won’t feel FOMO.
However, if you’re looking to buy Apple’s latest premium flagship, the iPhone 16 Pro, you can skip this deal altogether.
