The iPhone 16 series supports 25W wireless charging, which is with Magsafe. However, using the third-party QE Chargers, the devices only support the 15W wireless charging. Well, it’s going to change soon. As Marasters Report, with upcoming iOS 26 updates, the iPhone 16 model will support 25W wireless charging via Chargers as part of the QE 2.2 standard. So, in addition to Apple’s official magsafe accessory, any wireless charger branded as “QI2 25W” should be able to charge the iPhone 16 model at 25W charging speed. Note that the iPhone is the only phone in the 16E series that will not get a new feature, and will continue to support 7.5W charging speed.
Belkin recently released its latest range of QI2 25W Wireless Chargers, starting at $ 60 (about Rs 5,250), which the company claims that the iPhone can charge in 16 wireless ways at 25W speed. It is claimed that it will take 30 minutes for the phone to go from 0 to 50 percent. In a way, it also confirms that the iPhone 16 series will get this sharp wireless charging functionality through the upcoming iOS 26 stable updates, which is expected to roll out soon. For those who are already on the beta release of software, should be available for convenience testing, provided they have a supported charger. Nevertheless, most people should try this feature for themselves once the iOS 26 with the iPhone 17 series next month. Speaking about, like the iPhone 16 series, the iPhone 17 series is also expected to support the 25W wireless charging speed.
In other news, the iPhone 17 series is rumored to be launched on 9 September next month. According to the leak, Apple is expected to announce the main details this week, perhaps on 26 or 27 August.
As tradition, Apple is expected to launch four new models in line-up: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air. For those who do not know, the iPhone 17 is rumored to be the thinnest iPhone heavy. This will allegedly measure about 5.5 mm in thickness and is said to have replaced the plus model.
In addition, all iPhone 17 models are rumored to be operated by the A19 series chips and are said to come with many features and upgrades. Recent reports have also suggested an increase in the price of $ 50 in line-up, although it is not clear that the increase is associated with high production costs or global trade tariffs, especially 30 percent tariffs on recently declared sugar-made goods in the US. However, recent reports states that products such as phones, laptops, cameras and other electronic devices will be exempted from mutual tariffs on India – at least for now.
