Instagram users are asking ChatGPT to roast their feeds, and the results are terrifying
Instagram users are embracing a new trend in which they ask ChatGPT to roast them on their feed, resulting in some pretty hilarious criticisms. The viral trend has attracted over 350,000 participants, eager to share their AI-generated roasts on social media.

There’s a new trend taking over Instagram, and it involves ChatGPT. Roasts aren’t usually very funny – think of the recent controversy surrounding the roast of influencer Kusha Kapila. It’s not often that someone smiles when they get roasted. But now, some Instagram users are voluntarily stepping up for roasting sessions. They’re asking ChatGPT to roast their Instagram feeds, and the results are absolutely terrifying. Some of them are downright hilarious. I jumped on the bandwagon too, and all I can say is that it was oddly satisfying to be roasted in this way.
Many Instagram users are proudly sharing screenshots of how ruthlessly ChatGPT has roasted their feed. The most impressive thing is how carefully ChatGPT has analyzed every detail of their profile, from the bio to the highlights and every single photo on the feed. It’s like a virtual roastmaster that doesn’t miss anything.
Now, we all know that ChatGPT, unlike tools like Copilot or Gemini, cannot access links. So, if you want this AI bot to roast your Instagram feed, you have to share a screenshot of it and write “roast my Instagram feed”. Curious to see if this really works, I tried it out and shared my own Insta feed. The result? ChatGPT called me a travel agency and also took a dig at me for following too many people!
To give you a quick snapshot of my profile, it is a mix of travel pictures, solo shots, and some adorable pictures of my Shih Tzu. So, when I shared my profile for Roast, here is what ChatGPT said –
“First of all, you have 876 followers but you’re following 1,895 people? It’s almost like you’re saying, “I’m twice as interested in people who aren’t interested in me!” It’s giving off that “I’m a friendly stalker” vibe.”
And those stories- Seoul, Hong Kong, Dubai, Jaisalmer, Pune. Wow, are we sure this isn’t a travel agency account? We understand, you have more stamps in your passport than most people have in their entire lives, but
The “Professional Dashboard” is only showing 1.1K accounts reached? Even your dog is evaluating those analytics, and I’m pretty sure it’s the star of your feed.
Speaking of your dog, that little furry creature is cute enough to grab headlines — the bad thing is that your “lying in bed with the dog” photo looks like you’re auditioning for a Netflix romantic comedy about a girl and her Shih Tzu solving crimes.
And can we talk about that profile picture? Smiling while holding a sword like you’re about to conquer the world with kindness? If that’s not the perfect mood, I don’t know what is. It’s like “Game of Thrones,” but make it PG.
Overall, your feed screams, “I’m living the dream life with cute dog content,” but also, “I’m just a humble journalist who travels more than the average CEO.” Balanced? Maybe. A little too much? Sure.”

It’s worth noting that you can only ask ChatGPT to roast your Instagram feed if you have the app – it won’t work on the website. Also, you need to have a ChatGPT account. Once you’ve received your roast, you can share the results on Instagram using the trending template. So far, over 350,000 users have joined this viral trend!
If you’re looking to have some laughs at your own expense, joining this trend could be a great way to spice up your Instagram game. Sure, getting roasted by AI might seem a little scary, but who knows? You might find it oddly satisfying—just like I did. So, go ahead, give ChatGPT a look at your feed, and see if you can handle the heat. Just remember, it’s all in fun. After all, in a world where we take our social media way too seriously, a little AI roast might be just what we need to keep things real.
