Actors Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala are getting married in December this year. A picture of their wedding invitation is now going viral on social media. The invitation includes the names of their family members and the date of the auspicious occasion.

It seems that the couple also distributed a basket of gifts along with the wedding invitations to show their love and respect to the guests. The contents of the basket included a piece of cloth (Saree or a scarf), a wooden scroll, food packets and other confectionery items. It was designed as a traditional invitation, rooted in Telugu culture and featured scenes of temples, bells, banana trees and a cow printed on the card.

Chai and Shobhita will tie the knot on Wednesday, December 4. The couple has reportedly decided to get married at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, which holds sentimental significance for the Akkineni family.

Multiple reports suggest that it was Chay and Shobhita’s decision to honor their family legacy by starting their wedding journey from Annapurna Studios. The studio was built by the actor’s late grandfather, renowned actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), and he wanted to celebrate the spiritual energy and seek blessings from his ancestors by getting married there.

While the ceremony will be traditional and private, the couple is trying to make it as homely as possible. Various reports also suggested that Sobhita refused to hire any popular stylist or mega team to dress up for her wedding. Instead, it is believed that she purchased her wedding dress from a local shop, and decided to forgo all the extra frills for the sacred rituals.

The couple’s pre-wedding rituals began in October. Shobhita also shared a glimpse of a traditional pre-wedding ceremony, which took place at her home in the presence of her mother and other women in the family.

Chai and Shobhita got engaged in August this year in the presence of their families. The former was previously married to Samantha. They announced their separation on social media in October 2021.
