Introduction
Infinix’s pioneering effort in foldables is here, a flip joining the brand’s more upmarket Zero line of phones. Closely related to one of the latest efforts from sister brand Tecno, the Infinix Zero Flip isn’t exactly a first-generation product, but a mature entrant in the clamshell foldable space, and it’s coming in at a more than reasonable price.
The compact foldable features a flashy triple camera setup with 50MP sensors all around and nuances that even current Galaxy of the same breed don’t offer. You get autofocus and flash for the selfie shooter, and there’s autofocus on the ultrawide on the back too.
The 6.9-inch bendy panel and the larger 3.64-inch cover display are both OLED and both have a 120Hz maximum refresh rate, plus you get plenty of functionality on the cover. The generous 4,720mAh battery promises plenty of active hours, while the 70W charging rating should ensure quick top ups.
There are some areas where Zero Flip has a more budget caliber show, but there were some compromises to be made. For example, the chipset isn’t exactly a powerhouse, although it should be quite good – on par with the Razer 50’s silicon. However, what the Razr does better is water sealing – the Zero Flip does not have an IP rating. The software update policy isn’t exactly excellent either.
