Introduction

The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ 4G is a stylish device. It has an incredibly thin 6.8mm profile and a very light 162-gram body. You can get the phone in sleek black, titanium gray or dreamy purple with a glossy or matte glass finish. Then there’s also the recently launched Blossom Pink edition with a vegan leather finish, which we have for review today.

Fancy look will be the primary attraction here. Don’t expect too much in the hardware department. Still, you get a nice package, especially in some respects like the pretty-bright, 120Hz AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass protection, the stereo speaker setup tuned by JBL, the decently fast and expandable UFS 2.2 storage and Quite a large, especially considering the size, 5,000 mAh battery.

  • various: Fingerprint reader (under the display, optical); Stereo speaker.

On the other hand, you get the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, which is a relatively new but modest 4G chipset and still not that common.

Also, the Hot 50 Pro+ is sorely lacking in the camera department. There appear to be three cameras on the back, but the phone is reported to only have a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor on the back, as well as a 13MP selfie camera. The third rear “camera” is either some special mystery sensor or built in entirely. Either way, don’t expect too much from the camera.

Furthermore, you get a mostly plastic device with a minimum IP54 ingress protection. On the plus side, it has pretty fast 33W charging, as well as reverse wired and bypass charging support.

unbox

The Hot 50 Pro+ comes in a colorful two-piece cardboard box. The material is quite tough and flexible. There’s a plastic cradle on the inside to keep the phone in place.

On the plus side, the accessory package is very rich. There is a 33W charger in the box with a USB Type-A to Type-C cable. Infinix also gives you a hard plastic transparent snap-on case and a curved glass screen protector.
