Recently, it received global recognition when it was included among the 50 best pork dishes in the world. The list was released by the popular food and travel guide, Taste Atlas. Food professionals from around the world prepared a rating of the best pork dishes. They evaluated dishes from different countries and gave them a rating out of 5 to prepare the list. The post’s caption reads, “These are the best pork dishes in the world.” The post, shared on October 6, 2024, has already received over 7.4k likes and hundreds of comments. The top-rated pork dish was Colombia’s lechona, followed by Mexico’s carnitas in second place. Puerto Rico’s Pernil finished third, while Mexico’s Gringas took fourth. The fifth place went to Mexico’s Tacos al Pastor.
