Imtiaz Ali’s Highway, starring Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt, is considered one of the best films of all time, offering stunning visuals amid picturesque landscapes. Recently, the director talked about the challenges he faced during the shoot, especially highlighting the time when there were no vanity vans on the sets. She shared how difficult it was for Alia to manage basic things like changing clothes or going to the washroom in unusual places during the shoot.

Participating in a panel discussion at the International Film Festival of India in Goa, Imtiaz Ali shared that there were three such instances in his life when he had to send crew members back from different sets. He expressed satisfaction that this happened only three times.

A similar incident happened on the sets of Highway, where he was filming on a rural highway with Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in 2013. At that time, there were no proper vanity vans, and Alia had to change locations as nature intended. In unusual places.

Imtiaz remembered that he had to send a crew member back when he was trying to be near her during those moments. While this happened three times in his career as a filmmaker, Imtiaz said things have changed a lot since then. She stressed that actresses are now safer on the sets.

Talking about Highway, the film tells the story of a young woman named Veera, who is kidnapped by a group of criminals, but she forms an unexpected bond with one of their captors, Mahabir.

As they travel through the Indian countryside, Veera experiences a personal transformation, confronting her past traumas and finding a sense of freedom.

Set against the backdrop of breathtaking landscapes, Highway explores themes of self-discovery, healing and the complexities of human relationships. This film is famous for its strong acting and brilliant cinematography.

Talking about Imtiaz Ali’s work, his last film Amar Singh Chamkila starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra was praised by fans and critics alike. Amar Singh Chamkila is available for streaming on Netflix.

Meanwhile, Alia will next be seen in Alpha. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
