Ilaiyaraja fulfills the last wish of daughter Bhavatharini, announces all-girls orchestra
Music Mestro Ilaiyaraja and Family organized a memorial program on the birth anniversary of his daughter Bhavatharini. The composer talked about starting an all-girl orchestra, which was his daughter’s last wish, which was before his untimely demise.

Music Mestro Ilaiyaraja organized a concert on 12 February on the birth anniversary of his late daughter Bhavatharini. Addressing the crowd at the event, the composer said that he would fulfill his daughter’s last wish by starting an all-group orchestra. Along with Ilaiyaraja, his family members, including son Karthik Raja, Bhai Gangai Amarein, director Venkat Prabhu and others felt their presence.
In January, Ilaiyaraja said that ‘Bhavath’s Thithi (A ritual performed after death) ‘falls on his birthday on 12 February. He said that he would organize a concert to remember her.
Speaking at the event, he said, “Bhavatharini told me that she wanted to start an all-group orchestra. This was her last wish. Two days ago, when I was in Malaysia, I met many mandals, of which, of which, of which, of which I met many mandals, which I was in Malaysia. The young girls met many mandals who performed in front of me.
“We have planned to perform the orchestra around the world and provide a music treatment to all. I will make necessary announcements at the right time. Young girls can register and audition to be a part of the orchestra. I want to be a part of the orchestra. I maintain the orchestra to maintain the heritage and the cheer across the world.

While he was talking about his late sister, Karthik Raja, the elder brother of Bhavathrini, could not control his tears.
Director Venkat Prabhu wished her cousin Bhavathharini on X. He rebuilt his wish from last year and wrote, “It cannot believe that it is a year ago. Happy Bade Thangchi #Bhavatharini (SIC).”

Bhavatharini was a national award -winning playback singer and a musician. She woke up from the Tamil film, Bharati, for her song Mail Pola Ponnu Onu for fame. On January 25, 2024, Bhavatharini died after a fight with cancer. She was 47 years old.
Bhavatharini is alive by her husband, Sabariraj, her father, Ilaiyaraja and two brothers, Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.
