Iku says that a slim 8 mm phone has significant success in the big battery Z10 inside the phone.
IQO Z10 is launching on April 11 and according to the company the device has a slim design of 7300mAh. How? We asked Eku India CEO Nipun Maria.
Listen to the story

Here in India Today Tech, we review the appropriate number of phones every month. In these years we have seen that while a thin body and large battery are characteristics that add appeals to the smartphone, both do not go with hands. You can have either a big battery. Or you may have a slim design. Not both. But it seems that IQO Z10 is expecting to change it. It is a phone that is thin on the body less than 8 mm, but it also packs a huge 7300 mAh battery.
The appeal and uniqueness of the device is that IQO is busy exposing it repeatedly. The company says that large battery and slim design “combination is not just rare, this is the first in the industry.” The phone is ready to launch the day after tomorrow, which is April 11.
Of course, we are also conspiring. Therefore, a few days ago when we got a chance to talk to Iqu India CEO Nipun Maria, we seized an opportunity to talk about it. Nipun says that the battery is the main attraction of Z10 as the phone is trying to solve some issues for young users – a special type of users. Or “gene z user”, as Nipun said.
“IQO as a brand fulfills youth and students. Especially Z chain corresponds to students. And within the student community, you know how they always walk – if one thing they really fear, this battery is going down,” Nipun says. “We have designed this phone for them.”
But a large battery usually means a compromise on the design of the phone. Nipun accepts this and talks about new battery technology that Iku has used to skirt around the problem. “Our R&D was the task for the team: despite having a 7300mAh phone, there should be no compromise in terms of hand felt, thin or weight,” Nipun says.
In the end the phone came out only 7.8 mm thickness. It was obtained, according to Iku, the 3g generation with the help of silicon-carbon anode battery technology. According to the company, compared to traditional graphite batteries, it provides an about 15.7 percent more energy density. In simple terms, the overall material used in the battery of IQoo Z10 stores more energy without taking additional space.
Some other major promotion is. IQO says that it is using carbon nanotube – small carbon tube with a honeycomb structure – to pack more energy within the battery and expand the battery life. Then the electrode is the filapping technique, which clearly keeps the battery with puffing over time.
The company also uses nano cage structure to deal with the general silicone expansion issue. It prevents wearing and tears. For super-fast charging-IQO Z10 comes with 90W fast-charging-Company has used laser carvings inside the battery that thickens the surface of the anode and makes the charging faster and more efficient.
While Buzzwords and Tech Vizardry are great, evidence of pudding is in food. How will all battery technology affect the user experience, and is the 7300mAh battery promising within the Z10? We will talk about it in the phone review.
While the Battery of Z10 is its major feature, IQoo says that there is much more for the phone. “For performance, we have Snapdragon 7S General 3 processor. We have achieved the highest Antutu score in this segment: more than 820k,” Nipun says. On the display side, the phone’s screen is going to offer a 5,000-NIT local peak glow with its quad-crescent AMOLED display. “And camera-wise, you get 4K video recording and a 50mp Sony IMX882 sensor,” discloses Nipun.
