Ikk Kudi Box Office Collection: Shehnaaz Gill’s film earns Rs. 13 crores worldwide in 20 days

Punjabi film Ikk Kudi made Rs. Till now it has earned Rs 13.25 crore worldwide at the box office in twenty days. The domestic and foreign split stands at Rs. Rs 5.25 crore. 8 Crore (USD 900K) respectively. The film has earned around Rs 50 crore in six days of the third week. 1 crore in India. The week-to-week decline from Week 2 is about 55 percent, which isn’t bad, but at the level of the film’s business, it needed a much smaller decline.

The film showed promise in the second weekend when the collections doubled from the opening weekend in both India and overseas. Although the business was low, the trend was very strong, if the film had lasted for a few weeks, it could have got good scores, and even become a hit. However, the collections dropped further on the weekdays and then did not see much growth in the third weekend.

Nevertheless, Ikk Kudi is still successful, and that in itself is a relief in what has otherwise been a grim year for the Punjabi film industry. There have been some hits and even blockbusters overseas, but domestically, it has been dry, with only Saunkne Saunkne 2 garnering strong numbers. The surprise success of Ikk Kudi, which was released almost without expectations, is undoubtedly a positive outcome.
