Actor Vishwal Jethwa has addressed the ongoing speculation about the alleged rift between Ishaan Khatar and Janhvi Kapoor. He talked about the viral video, where Janhvi ignored Ishaan at the Red Carpet event of the 78th Cannes International Film Festival.
Vishal talked about mutual mobility among actors on the set of ‘Homebound’. He said that, unlike social media, claims, pair are very well received about any stress among their co-stars.
In an interview, Ishan and Janhvi, remembering their experience of working with Vishal ZoomSaid, “Main Ishan and Janhvi Kom Karte Dekha are dekha and they work comfortably. Wo dono wel-wise han of a doser. Bohot Achhe Si Bat Karte Han (I have seen Ishaan and Janhvi working together, and they are very comfortable with each other. They are well wishers and talk to each other very well). ,
The ‘Homebound’ actor clarified about the possible misconception of Janhvi-Ishaan’s viral video from Cannes, where he was seen holding her gown while going on stage.
“In Cannes, I remember that I was holding the footpath of his organization and struggling to find out how to hold it properly. I was just trying to help her. And while Janhvi was climbing, Ishaan was offering her hand. She was holding her clothes, probably why she did not take her hand,” the actor said.
Vishal revealed that no one in the team is thinking negatively about the video. He also stated that Jahvi “will never do anything insulting.”
‘Homebound’ Team was overwhelmed by emotions in Cannes, when the film received a 9 -minute standing ovation at the International Film Festival.
Filmmaker Neeraj Gaywan, who directed the film, recently shared a post on X, where he revealed that ‘Homebound’ is based on the true story of an epidemic.
The film tells the story of two childhood friends from a small village in North India, who dream of becoming a police officer to get respect and dignity. But as they get closer to their goals, their friendship is tested by pressure and frustration.
Neeraj and Sumit Roy have cooled the script of ‘Homebound’. The film is produced by Karan Johar, other Poonwal, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra. Co-products include Marizk de Suja and Melita Toscan du Plantar. Academy Award winning director Martin Scorste has changed the executive producer for the film.
The release date of Social Drama is yet to be announced.
