The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Identity starring Tovino Thomas and Trisha Krishnan released the teaser of it. The investigative thriller, scheduled to release in January 2025, is directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan.

The one minute forty one second teaser begins with Tovino’s character Haran Shankar, a criminal sketch artist, asking Trisha’s character to describe the facial structure of an unknown person. She replies “Pentagon shaped”, which clearly surprises him. She continues to describe, “The square face had a chin that extended downwards like the fifth corner of a pentagon.”

The teaser then features various characters from the film including Mandira Bedi, Aju Varghese and Vinay Rai.

Pehchan is directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan. They previously collaborated for the 2020 film Forensic. This is the first time that Trisha will be seen sharing the screen with Tovino in a film. According to media reports, Identity will be shot in Ernakulam, Bengaluru, Mauritius and Coimbatore.

The film stars Tovino Thomas, Trisha, Mamta Mohandas, Madonna Sebastian, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup and Reba Monica John. The identity was initially announced for November 25, 2022. Cinematographer Akhil George, editor Chaman Chacko and composer Jake Bejoy are part of the technical team.

The makers of the film have not yet announced its release date.
